Below are our sparkling wines from Marlborough, the last two made according to the traditional method and with a long storage on its lees.
In Systembolaget, price SEK 89
A classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, intensely aromatic, this wine bursts with flavours of passion-fruit, gooseberries and blackcurrant leaf. The palate is dry, vibrant and tightly structured with a bead of beautiful small bubbles, balanced acidity and a great clean finish.
Gardo & Morris Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc is an excellent aperitif and food wine that will compliment shellfish, lobster, crayfish and grilled fish. It goes well with citrus-based sauces incorporating fresh herbs such as basil, coriander and dill. One of my personal favourites is risotto portobello.
Low intensity and lemon coloured with small persistent bubbles. A flinty nose with notes of mushrooms, gooseberries, yellow apples, grapefruit zest, a hint of caramel and an elegant autolytic fragrance of bread. On the palette the wine is dry, with a high acidity, a round mouthfeel and a crisp mousse. The taste contains dried fruit, yellow apples and physalis with a creamy texture and a sourish finish.
Gardo & Morris Brut goes great with shellfish and lighter dishes of fish with citrus based sauces, why not grilled cod on a bed of baby spinach and a lemon vinaigrette.

The nose is typically fruity with character of red summer berries, wild strawberries and developed biscuity autolysis. On the palate the wine has a vibrant, youthful mousse and small, persistent bubbles. The wine is dry with a refreshing, crisp acidity and a clean lengthy finish.
The Brut Rosé is perfect to serve as an aperitif or to combine with lighter chicken dishes, fried fish or salads.
